About Us

In September of 2005 we became first time parents to our daughter, Téa Yin. Téa is from Hunan province and has been a joyful addition to our family.

While preparing our dossier and then awaiting our referral, we searched for adoption merchandise that we would enjoy owning. We didn't find anything that reflected our lifestyle so we designed the forever family pendant. I wore the prototype while we were waiting for our referral and enjoyed having a beautiful piece of jewelry to represent this life-changing event. Now I wear it so Téa and our family are always close to my heart.

Wherever I go people comment on the pendant, it serves as a wonderful way to start a conversation about our journey and the adoption process. Our mothers proudly wear their own Forever Family pendants anxiously waiting for people to ask what the characters mean so they can show off their new grand daughter.

Designing the pendant was a collaborative effort. My husband Ted is a photographer while I have many years of experience in high-end jewelry manufacturing. We both have a respect and appreciation for Asian cultures and design that we have integrated into the forever family pendant.

We live in downtown Chicago and are enjoying watching Téa explore her world.
